BARGAIN CAMERA BAG

Dammit, I just bought a new bag yesterday doh

I know the feeling! I paid £60 for mine yesterday as well! Curse currys

Nice find! Just ordered one, you can never have to many bags.....

Damn it, bought a bag off here about 3 hours ago.

I also think that a 4th bag might tip my missus over the edge of tolerance!

nice bag and price...but its too big for me...i dont have enough kit to fill it ;D
I need something bit smaller that would take 13'3" laptop as well...ideas?;)

I have a computrekker. Really good bag. Spare space just gives you an excuse to fill it up :)

I notice that Practical Photography are offering a Lowepro backpack as a 'gift' for taking out a subscription at the moment - unfortunately I don't recall which one, but it looked better than my Orion Trekker II.

Ah, great! Thanks for posting, I needed a bag...so I've ordered one.

It appears to be an all weather too...bargain.

should have worked out a comission deal with curry's :)

great spot - but cant order as I think another bag = divorce :( :bang: :bonk:

Has anyone compared the Vertex 100 to the Mini Trekker?
It seems to be marginally bigger all round, and I'm especially interested that the depth is slightly greater to take a gripped/pro body.

It will take as big a tripod as you want to put on it, basically!

I can highly recommend this bag. I'm even considering getting myself another one

I just got one of these instore and can post pictures filled up with kit tomorrrow if that helps anyone?

Mine just arrived - looks very nice. Lots of room, lots of dividers for setting it up inside just how you like. Everything looks very sturdy and I'd think it could hold a decent sized tripod as the foot and strap for it seem robust.

I'll update when I have tried to stuff it with gear tonight.

Thanks for the heads up Dominic.

Promised update:

I am very pleased with the bag. Although it isn't as deep as it looks (lots of padding) I can squeeze in my 1D. I wouldn't like to do that with a full-size laptop in as well as it is a tight fit, but that was never part of the plan. I can fit the 1D with 70-200, 300/4, 50/1.8 (all with hoods), 1.4x and 2x t/cs and there is still space for a second body or a flash. The external pockets take memory cards and a couple of huge spare batteries easily. There are lots of straps and connectors that seem get in the way right now, but I am sure I can find a way of tucking them away or I might even try to use them given the weight of the bag when full.

In short, it does the job and feels robust. Still available at PC World for £50.

Mine arrived this morning so I only had 5 mins to play with it... seems great except it hangs halfway up my back... I am quite tall (6'4) but the bag base rests in the middle of my spine which is mega uncomfortable... I am hoping it has some adjustment to the resting height?

I will have a play tonight

Can you buy these bags at this price in store rather than online?

I dont have enough kit to put it a bag of that size :( only got my 450D with the kit lens hopefully in the future i will have several lenses to put in a bag :P
Kit builds up quickly! :D

I just got a Canon 70-200 f2.8 today and it won't fit in my other bag with my other lenses so I think I might get one of these.

Got mine today. Pretty pleased although it's going to take a bit of sorting the dividers if I want to carry the 120-400 Sigma + the D90 with another lens mounted, but I'll play around when I have more time.

That's part of the fun with these bags. I've got half a dozen bags (of which only two are in use, of course) and about twently extra dividers lying around.

Where can you buy the dividers on their own, as I have a laptop rucksack that is the same size as the bag on sale that I could convert. ;)

It looks very big to me as well.
