Barbados

Good morning everyone,
Am after some advice. I am off to Barbados in a few weeks for a break but there is no way I can have a break from my photos. Here in lies the question. What sort of kit should I take? I have a Canon 40d with 17-85mm lens. As I not a hardenened travel photographer I am at a loss as to what is the most important kit to take...thinking about luggage allowances. All advice greatfully received.

Stu,

Take that lot with you.

Plus a lightweight tripod if you have one. I've never been to Barbados but you should have some great light to work with. Look forward to seeing your images on your return.

I usually take camera + 50mm lens, 70-300mm lens, cable release, batteries, battery charger,cleaning equipment, pen and paper to make notes about certain shots and locations, in my hand luggage, and tripod, (packed in my main case)
