I do it all the time and never had a problem.

If you paid someone by cheque the same details would be on the cheque

ie bank name, account number, sort code.

I use to do it and never had a problem.

You only need to provide sort code and account, and a name as a reference. My girlfriend does it all the time for me as she is my Bank Manager

its very safe nowadays we do it all the time forget paypal thats where the scams are
