Well a productive weekend for me on the purchase front! I have managed to secure a Canon 24-70 f2.8L and a Canon 100mm f2.8 macro (and a Seiko Tuna For the watch lovers amongst us).

So what have we all been spending our hard earned on?!

D: I want a 100mm macro! How much did you purchase it for?

I bought a GoPro HD Hero and new some snowboarding clothes. Unfortunately no camera equipment, that'll come next payday! :)

A Fuji s5 pro off the forum trading section, should arrive Weds. Didnt really intend spending any money but this appeared too good to miss as I have been quietly looking for a "minter"

Of course then I had to buy a CF card, and a glass screen protector, and a wired remote shutter release. Trouble was the wife dug about in ebay and found these purchases........revenge spending happened today!!!

Towards my new studio.....

1 tin of primer/undercoat, 1 tin of white gloss and 50 carpet floor tiles then an exterior door frame, interior door frame and interior door :)

EDIT: Plus 15 bottles of Kronenburg 1664, a bag of pork scratchings and Avatar on blue ray :)

I ordered a Nikon70-300 VR, a diamond core drill,a pair of walking shoes and an 8GB cf card (she knows all about the drill)

I've just ordered from Amazon a HP all in one printer. The bees knees!!

I have a HP 6280 they are really good as a general purpose printer etc. I found some refillable cartridges on ebay for £9.95 and 6 bottles of ink for £8 so for £17.95 you get the equivalent of 8 sets of cartridges!! The colours are pretty good and so long as you wear rubber gloves it takes less than 10 minutes to fill all 6 and there is no mess either!

Bubblwe wrap............... packing boxes for impending house move.

Transcend class 6 8GB SDHC card
Crumpler Jimmy Bo bag
HOYA Pro1-D UV filter

All for my G1

Tesco had a massive Avatar display when I went in the other day, is it worth a watch? Didn't really get caught up in all the hype when it came out...

Some good Bank Holiday Purchases so far! Interesting to see how many are going to have to sneak parcels past the other half on Wednesday!

R-Strap (copy of ebay) - really tempted by a set of wireless flash triggers and a brolley(from flash in the pan), but not really necessary.

Absolutely nothing, my cheque from work hasn't cleared yet :(

I cheated and bought mine last weekend 100-400L, only had the chance to use it the once and love it :D

Ha - my pension hasn't arrived over the weekend...b****r...:shake:

when it does..........ffordes are going to get some serious orders as I've decided to keep my Canon A1 and get back into some film "stuff"

well nobody here wanted it... ..........

New crocs clogs for work - they are really comfy

Hell yes! Great film...not so much for the story, but the SFX are fantastic. If you have a blu ray player, this film was made for it...£14.99 off amazon.co.uk

Absolutely agree was brilliant at the cinema in 3D but still great on bluray

Was gonna be another D700, but discovered my cards been cloned. Gotta sort that first. b****r.

The iron finally gave up the ghost so I spent Sunday morning in Comet buying a new Iron.

I spent about 2.5 k over the weekend.

Just a shame it was not on camera equipment.

It was mainly extra kitchen cupboards and appliances for a new build house.

Although did get one result, I had asked the developer to quote for about 34 coax and UTP runs, was waiting for a huge quote. Came in at £350

Bought a 1DIII from these forums, and awaiting a 70-200 2.8 IS...that *has* to be it for some time (she said). I just hope I'm as effective at selling my other stuff off as I am at buying.

A new battery for the car and paid for the WHF trip :)

Picked up a redsnapper tripod, got tired of hunting for flat surfaces when shooting at night! Hope they turn out great !

Would it be rude to suggest that folks should be getting excited about the pictures they took over the bank holiday rather than the kit they bought

;)
