Band Interview

Hi,
I have the opportunity to do an interview with a band, followed by photos at one of their gigs. Anyone got any tips, regarding the interview, question, and general help... never done an interview before, don't want to mess up the opportunity!

I'm sure it's in the right place. No major tips as I've not done anything like it before but common sense says do some research on the band before you go. Know their names and where they come from, what they like to do and what they are trying to sell (everyone is selling something in the entertainments industry surely?). The bands' manager will most likely have a word with you about what he wants you to talk about and what to avoid.

dont forget to ask em about there musical influences. they always like talking about that.
and what their future ambitions are.

Pretty much covers it. Remember not to ask a question to which you don't know the answer...

Do your reasearch, and look at recent interviews that the band has done, but if they're an established band don't ask how they formed as its a question they've heard literally a million times so try and be creative. Relax, be yourself and most important of all don't panic! That was my downfall with my first, I was given a drink by the band and I knocked it over and it spilled everywhere which was extremely embarrasing.
