I got a challenge at work: Shoot one of our conference rooms showing the projector at work while bringing attention to the room control system.

(click for bigger)

I did this using 3 speedlights:

From left to right: (All are Canon Speedlite 540EZ)
1/32 power, super clamped to the bookcase, stofen diffuser ripoff (ebay) to bring up that side of the room and add some definition to the right side of the room control unit. This flash firing solo looks like this.

1/16 power in a reflective umbrella, main light for the room control unit and lighting a big part of the room. This flash firing solo looks like this.

1/64 power through another fake stofen to subdue the shadow from the projector and add some light to the back wall without knocking out the projected image. This flash firing solo looks like this.

I couldn't decide whether or not to gel the flashes and have the tungsten lights look white but I decided to go with the warm look for them :)

Lush set up, took a fairly boring idea and made a really interesting shot of it and its gotta be perfect for PR

sb skill ;)

Thanks for the feedback guys! I love sharing the "boring" stuff like this - Helps me remember my own setups as well

...and the boring shots are way more likely to pay the bills ;)

I would just say 1 thing - who is he presenting to? IMO, it would look a lot more "real" if there were some other people sitting at the table....

Well lit though :)
