Bagged me a cheap rangefinder! To dip my toe in the water.

Was quite taken with the rather cool retro looking Canon QL17, and read some good things about them & the 40mm lens. Maybe true/maybe not?

But after just paying £47.00 for a minter, with original lens cap, case & instructions, it's a yey or ney trial I can afford without getting too pi$$ed if we don't get on! Though I'll do my very best to keep my end up!
He's nice to hold in the hand, I like the weight, and that little focusing lever is the business (such a short throw too). Am looking forward to blasting a role through it over the next week, although this is really just me seeing how I get on with a cheap rangefinder before seriously considering one 'O' them Bessa R3A's. I'm falling for those little monkeys in a big way!

It's going to be quite hard to not get a full size dose of G.A.S! I was a session drummer for quite a few years & musicians G.A.S landed me with twelve drum kits & fifty odd snare drums....Although on the plus side cameras are much easier to store.

Oh, and while I was at it I nabbed a real tidy aluminium Gitzo Studex tripod with geared column & No 3 Head for the outrageous sum of £31.00
The old Rollei's gonna look the dogs sat on there.

Today's been a good day!

Our lass says that all the time..:)

oh wait......He ??, can't be a he, all cameras have lady bits, you can't bloke a camera up unless you yourself are a missis

Sorry joxby...
The camera was in the other hand.. I was getting confused due to masculine inability to multi-task!

I am bloody lost with this one.:cautious:

I think they are being rude boys and equating a heavy camera in the hand with something else entirely in the hand.

Oh, and they're exagerating as well.;)

I used to have a QL. They are nice. I gave mine away to someone on this forum about four or five years ago. I can't remember who it was but I think he was studying photography at Southampton University at the time.

Steve.
