Wanna make sure that the bag fits in 2 bodies with grips [40D & 350D] and lens attached [Saving me trouble of changing lens] and 3-4 lenses, flash gun and some usual bells & whistles.

Any suggestions :naughty:

I have a shoulder bag and a backpack and swap them depending on what im doing. IE i use the back pack if there's going to be lots of hill climbing and / or walking and use the shoulder bag if im in cities / family events.

If you go from crumpler (which my shoulder bag is) you will need to be looking at the XXL or bigger to hold all that.

C'mon guys. More suggestions please.

I find shoulder bags extremely uncomfortable. Saying that I go out in the countryside for hours and days at a time, not around towns and cities, as such I use my viper vest mainly or a Tamrac expedition 7. If I go out "lightweight" I use a tamrac modular belt system.

I currently own a Lowepro Mini Trekker AW and I don't find the depth of the bag sufficient enough when the camera has a grib attached to it so the depth of the bad is very relevant.

If you do go for a crumpler be very very wary of the sizing. I have the XXXL and there is no way on earth it will fit what you have listed. I have posted pics of it next to a CD for comparision on here: http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=65821

From what I have seen on here the Lowepro range seems to offer a good choice. I am thinking of getting a lowepro backpack for when I am doing alot of walking.

I have got a LowPro backpack, i went with that because they look sturdy and are AW :D

I have a Crumpler Geekstar and although it's too heavy for me to carry around all day it's holds everything in my signature and i could probably fit another smallish lens in there, or more if i didn't want the second body attached. I usually have the 70-200 on the 40D and the 28-75 on the 400D. I have a smaller bag if i'm going to be walking!

My own choice is a smallish lowepro backpack to which external lens cases can be added as necessary and a lowepro holster type bag which also can have cases attached. I also got a "freebie" lowepro shoulder bag for a mag subscription(which can - guess what? - have a lens case attached!) Then I just mix 'n match depending on what I'm doing.

I love my Lowepro Vertex 300. Its a big bag but it is really well designed and uniform depth across the whole bag which is great when you compare it to Crumpler backpack that vary considerably in depth.

I'm also in the two bag crowd (Dakine Sequence and F-Stop Bard) I use the Sequence when I need more stability - snowboarding, biking etc or when I'm likely to have a long lens attached to the body in the bag. The Bard is much smaller but I can still fit pretty much everything in as it doesn't have as much extra room as the rucksack, I mainly use it when I want to travel light, for instance taking a camera to work with me etc.

I have a Lowepro Mini Trekker AW. The 40d with grip attached fits in fine depthwise and this bag also fits the depth of the Easy Jet sizing which is 20cm whereas all the other airlines are 25cm!

Its a b****r to get things out of quickly if you are wearing it.. so best for a day in the country sooner than sports or a wedding, or you have to keep flipping it off onto the floor.

Im looking for a shoulder bag but they look good for quick access but the gear sits in layers and Im not sure its as quick to access as Id want.

I've always been a keen shoulder bag person, purely for the fact that they can usually hold more. But the Lowepro Slingshot series looks good because of the way you can twist it around your body when you want to get your camera out.

The 100AW can be had for a reasonable amount but I'd probably recommend either the 200AW or the 300AW as you have a fair amount of equipment you want to carry.

I would recommend the Lowpro Slingshot I am on my second one when I had Canon 400D and Sigma 10-20 I had a 100 but now I have got a 200 which is fine for my Canon 5D, 16-35 and 28-105 spare battery and card + bottle of water and sometimes cag as well.

Fast to get to camera and use, no comparisson with rucksack type.

Perhaps a 300 may do for you ............
