Yes
I have a nice Crumpler Geekstar that holds the majority of my gear but I am looking for something a fair bit smaller to hold my 40D with the 24-105 on it, CF cards and a spare battery when I fancy dipping out to take some shots while not humping everything.

Anyone give me any good recommendations please?

I have just grabbed a bag exactly as your needs ie walkabout bag. Decided on the Kata 445 Bag - ideal size and good brand and best of all... because twas being given away free if you sign up for Practical Photography for a year for £48. Bag has gotta be worth near that!

I wholeheartedly recommend Kata bags, build and general quality and design/innovation absolutely superb :)

Have previously used Tamrac and Lowepro bags..

Good call smoothedit but that bag looks a little hefty really and I will have it on my bike fairly regularly. The 443 with the other mag bu yhose lot looks good but I never get chance to read magazines...

Lowepro Slingshot in that case? Keep it on your bag then swing it round for quick access without having to take it off?
My uncle uses one of these and he is a mountain cyclist.

Eek! Did you mean motorbike?? in which case get something more padded!

No mate mountainbike but I go fast. Slingshots look good as do the Velocity range as well. I got to say I am a big Crumpler lover and cannot see anything in the new range that would fit me right at the right price, i.e. close to nowt.

Nah Crumpler to me say 'Stylish and original' whereas Slingshots n Velocity say 'practical and help you fit the camera into your active lifestyle'

Bags actually talk to me they do
