Hey,

I'm looking for a new camera bag and could do with a bit of advice.

Ideally it would be:

a. A shoulder bag
b. Not too wide - as in, it shouldn't stick out a foot or two as some seem to do.

Does anything like that exist? Or does the padding make them all very chunky?

Alternatively, what's a good back-pack style bag?

[This is for a 40D and three smallish lenses btw!]

Ta! :)

I have a Tamrac Velocity 9X but this would be on the large size for your camera. It's a sling type but I have mine as a shoulder bag with the option of tightening the strap up to use as a backpack when needed. There are smaller versions of mine - do a google and see if they are suitable for you.

lowepro rezo or altus range??

Looks like a crumpler pretty boy XXXL is what you're after.

They're discontinuted now, so you may be able to pick one up for a bargain.

Pics of mine are as follows.. (With gear in)

Normally carries my 400d, 70-200, 50mm f1.8, 18-55, and my siggy 24-70 f2.8, and a cokin p filter kit, with 2 filters.

Or substitute the 18-55 with my 580EX2

Have a look at Redsnapper - here - I've got one and its a really versatile bag. Not too big (despite what Marcel says) and its really squishy so it doesn't flap around or bang off your hip / leg

I have an FStop Bard, would fit the bill, although FStop have gone very quiet recently...
