Hi,

I got a cannon 400d back in Feburary (annoyingly one of the only 2 months they weren't offering cash back!). With it I got a Samsonite Samo bag, which I didn't really like, so I replaced it with a lowepro mini toploader, which is great.
But as I'm awaiting the arrival of 2 more lenses (55-250mm IS and 50mm) its not going to be large enough. I also have a lowepro fastpack 200, which is just too big for my little camera!

I would really like a bag I can just about squeeze the camera with kit and these extra two into as it will be a while before I can afford any more lenses!

But my other half is already a little cross that I have 3 bags! I may have to get rid of some of the others first!

Thanks
Nix

Just seem the Crumpler pretty boy xl free with Digital SLR user mag, would this be suitable, is the mag any good?

Thanks, I've done that, but they seem to contradict each other. Some people recon its ok others that its tiny. Ideally I'd like to look at the actual bags but the two camera shops locally don't stock any crumpler bags. I've also looked on camerabags but they have only got reviews for the L and the XXL and not the XL! I really don't want another bag that's unsuitable!

The Xl will be too small. I have the XXXL and I have SLR body with 1 lens attached, 2 spare lenses, filters and spare battery. I could at a squeeze get 1-2 more lenses in as long as they were not large.

If you have 2 lenses it should fit in the XXL if you have 3 (not sure if you have a kit lens as well as the 2 you bought) then get the XXXL, but the XL will be way too small.

Crumpler Daily 370 would probably do the job - I'll try and get some pics of mine later

Thanks, i'll start comparing prices on some of those suggestions.

Posted this in another thread, have a look at http://www.cambags.com/. They have a profile of just about every camera bag out there and visitors can leave user reviews.

I personally have a LowePro Nova 2 AW (shoulder bag), which I can fit my 400D with 17-55mm attached and the 10-22mm beside it, with perhaps room for one more small lens (like the 50mm or something).

I went for this option so I could take a small rucksack with me if im going hill walking (for clothing, food, water etc) and have the Nova 2 by my side so I can get to everything quickly. Having said that you now get bags that do both, like the Tamrac 5547 Adventure 7.

I have the XXXL also, and i fit in it, my 400d, with 24mm attached, with 50mm underneath, seperated with a lens cleaning cloth to protect.

on one side i have the basic kit zoom, and to the right i have my 70-200mm with hood reversed. the other lenses have their hoods reversed.

if i get rid of the kit lens, which i'm planning on, and getting something better, like a 24-70L, then that'd sit in that place easily.

there is still space for my rocket blower, charger, and usb lead in the main pocket, with extra space in the front pocket.

The xxxl sounds a little big for what i want, i really need to find a place that sells them so i can have a good look! apparently some of the larger jessops store stock them. Off to hunt for my nearest!

Well, dunno if this helps, but this is how i have it...

Jacobs digital stock crumpler bags if there is one close to you. My local one was in liverpool, that's where i checked the size out. But don't let the XXXL fool you, it's smaller than you think.

Thanks, I found them in Johnlewis. I think the XL will actually be big enough for me (my lenses aren't that big). I'm going back with my camera etc later in the week to check. I realise that I may have to get a bigger one if I get more equipment, but it'll suit my current set up.

Thanks for all the replys and advice everyone.
