I'm after a nice bag to fit my Canon 550D fitted with a 18-200mm lens, with a little room for extra batteries, Filters. Oh yeah and the canon hood. If I'm not wrong which can be fitted backwards while not in use.

Been looking at the crumpler range
1. Crumpler Cupcake 5500
2.Crumpler Muffin Top 5500.

Has anybody got any experiance with any of these bags? or can think of something to suite.

Cheers guys

I have the Muffin Top 7500 and it's a brilliant bag. Comfortable, waterproof, etc, and it's big enough to put my equipment in plus other bits and bobs.
Sounds like the 5500 would be fine for your needs but will still give you room for when you upgrade/get more kit. Sometimes I feel like the 7500 is slightly too big but other times I probably wouldn't be able to fit it in a smaller bag.

For reference, I can fit into my 7500:
Gripped 450D with lens attached.
Space for either 2 longer lens, or up to 4 short lens.
Flashgun.
Other bits and bobs, eg. memory cards, batteries, remote shutter release.

I have a Crumpler Prettyboy XXXL and can fit a gripped 550d with any of my lenses (50mm 1.8, kit lens or Sigma 70-300mm) and the others in the bag, along with bits and pieces like cleaning stuff, cards, batteries, remote etc.

The bag is pretty comfy and have worn it for 12-13 hours with all gear in and it has been pretty good.

Only downsides are it is quite chunky so if you are wearing it on your side and in a crowded area etc getting through gaps, you have to be careful with the bag. It doesn't have any kind of inside seal (zip or similar), just a flap that covers the top.
