BAFTA Press Pen - Advice Needed!

Hi Guys

Just a quick request for help,

Anyone here covered the BAFTA's before, I am after some advice on the Press Pen (Location, Packing etc)

Not an event I have covered before and been drafed in at last minute, (Due to sickness / collegue wishing to avoid the crappy weather!)

So if anyone has covered this is the Press Pen Covered. Very Packed (Need for steps etc).

Any advice would be appreciated,

Good luck. I don't miss those days of jostling and fighting for a good spot. Used to it for press agency up North. It used hack me off when a tog would get there early and leave step ladders and expect to get the place when he came back.

Cheers yes I am also getting a bit long in the tooth for it! Doing it as cover for a favor,

Its on a Ballot system, (A bit more civilised), all Press Cards in a hat and into the Press Pen in the order they are drawn out, but being an unlucky b****r and also a shortarse I am taking my steps! (And to top that off I have now been told its Black Tie Even for the Press!)

Lets just hope I can leave the waterproofs in the car!

Yeah it was great. 3 hours at the top of a step ladder in the rain, then an hour in star bucks wiring to the agencies, :(. Can think of better things to do with my Sunday night, amazing how friends get I'll when the weather turns. :)
