Do forums(any, not necessarily TP) and their members baffle you sometimes. Do the things members do and say result in you thinking 'why'?

How about:

1. People who post in the ForSale, and then after a relatively short time(usually hours) post again with: 'Well then, any takers?' :bang:

2. People who post photos of their new run of the mill computer. And?!...we've all seen a computer before!:bonk:

3. People who, following an OP's question, will in essence repeat exactly the same thing as the poster before with no reference to them at all. Courtesy?

Can you think of any?

The other one for me is people that ask a question, get 20 or so responses and don't even have the courtesy to repost on the thead again to either thank people or at least acknowledge their question has been answered.

People who post threads about people who post in threads. Shame we cant all be perfect but thats the way it is :)

What baffles me is why some people, sat at a perfectly good keyboard, suddenly decide that it is a mobile telephonic device and resort to things like lol, lowercase throughout (including I) and generally forgetting how to spell or construct a sentence. :bang:

Maybe it's my age

Yup - normally in the middle of the night too. They probably expect that everyone who uses the forum is waiting for them to list their stuff at 2AM.

:agree:
It must be an age thing.

Please Sir
Its my computers fault since it had a drink the full stop and comma has disappeared ;)

You try and help someone with a wanted add by sending them a link to something they are looking for, They don't say thank you.

I agree with that Paul
Also people that ask for constructive C&C ingnore "helpful negatives"
and just respond to the OOO & Ahh aint it great, comments.
Or even just ignore any comments.
A kiss my ass would be better than a total blank

Duplicated links in the same post.....meaning people don't read the whole post before posting :lol::lol::lol::lol:

I also think I have been guilty of this before someone dredges up an old post from me :D

Oh, now that is a bug bear of mine. The

"I haven't read the whole thread but here's my opinion anyway"

If you are going to add to a discussion, isn't it polite to understand that discussion first?

I haven't read the whole thread, so apologies if covering old ground, but that's something that really annoys me about forums (not just TP).

:D

Continuing the theme....

Used gear sellers who price items relative to new gear or an entirely different item!?!

I hate it when car dealers do that.. You see adverts in the paper 'save £5000 on a new VW'. The reason its cheaper is because its 3 years old and has 30,000 miles on the clock!

Aye.

Almost as bad as:

"I have an used EF lens for sale at £500 - the RRP is £1299, so mine is a total give away", where the seller fails to remember that most retailers are selling it for £699.

One thing I hate is when a pack of members side with the forum Bad Boy (no forum in particular).
You know the one I mean, he/she who is a law unto him/herself, gets away with murder; yet there is always a following who slag the person off in public yet are the first to laugh at his/her condescending jokes and jibes.

Damn keyboard warriors!!!

Totally agree with the keyboard warriors thing! I put up a suggestion link on a thread and one forumer clearly saw it as a dig and went on to tell me how crap i am, in as many words, while having no real leg to stand on :)
