I thought there was a limit of 12Kg on hand luggage as well as the size limit! 23KG is a bag of cement almost! Thats some amount of kit to carry... def not my idea of holiday fun... I go as lightweight as I can!

I even rip excess card of packs of AA bateries... and I know that is extreme!

Mine weighs in about 18kg, As long as you aren't straining at check in, The airlines don't weigh it.

All Airlines have their own limits. Easyjet for example say no limit with in reason....Define Reason.

As Brocks says, all airline have their own limits and I make sure I know them first. I fly mostly BA. They went through a couple of years recently when they had no limit. Now they've made a 23kg limit but I haven't seen it enforced. There are still airlines with no specified limit, apart from say, having the ability to lift an item up unaided. At 23kg I can lift mine in to the locker without any trouble. The set of wheels makes transport easy.
