Hi, i'm changing back to android after a couple of months of trying apple AGAIN don't know what i was thinking . Anyways ,obviously i'm wanting to transfer/backup my contacts from iphone to Android (HTC 0ne) ,i would appreciate advice on the most straight froward way of doing this. Or can it be done through itunes ? . As i've said before on here i'm no techy regarding this kinda stuff ....

Hey mate :)

Love my htc one!

Give his app a try from the App Store, 'my contact backup'. You email them to yourself. Pick up the email on your htc and simply hit save to phone when you click the attachment!
 
Jeez that was quick cheers for that Jack . Yeh forgot how crap the whole iphone deal was ,dare i say it felt so dated and restricted compared to Android ,horses for courses i suppose .

No problem Sean :) Work in a phone shop so used to customers jumping ship to android from iPhones! Hope it works easily for you :)
 
I need to check if the phone i'm getting is unlocked (it's a mates phone) i believe this can can be done using the IMEI number but i'm dammed if i can find somewhere to do it online ... anyone help out
 
Have a question, when I insert the SIM into my son's iPhone5 it shows 3 bars in the signal but says SIM not valid . Any ideas folks ?
 
Surely the easiest way would be to sync them and have a backup with another provider is with a google account.

Sim not valid means the phones blocked sadly. The bars are for emergency calls only.

To find the IMEI dial *#06#

:)
