I have a manfrotto 190xpro and I’m looking for backpacks that I can strap it too. Its not really a travel tripod and doesn’t pack up that small. I was looking at one called a duragaget that was only £20 but it only has 2 straps. I thought I’d need a pocket for the tripod to sit in and a strap

I would look for one with a side pocket and compression strap above to secure it.
Rear centrally mounted tripods are a right pain and make the pack very cumbersome especially when turning.

The backpack I have is very good for carrying a tripod in one of the deep side pockets
Come in various capacities and rear opening is good for security purposes

Depends what other gear you got or what else you carry?

I have a Lowepro Flipside with the tripod on the rear & aside from the size/depth it also makes the tripod feel twice the weight!! Side mounted is definitely the way to go imo & if you carry a lot then a hiking backpack with an insert.

It would be my a6000 with a lens, extra 1-2 lenses, square lee style filter holder and filters. Plus extra batteries.
The ones I’ve looked at have all been side mounted. I don’t really want to spend more than £40 if I can help it. I never really do serious hiking, I just it to be able to carry all my stuff and the tripod
