After getting rid of my Canon 7D and lenses I am left with a Lowepro Vertex 200 backpack which is just massive and completely over the top for carrying my X-Pro 1 and 2 extra lenses in.

Does anyone here have any recommendations for a backpack/sling bag suitable for my needs? I need to be able to fit in my XP1 with lens, 2 extra primes plus a flash and other assorted accessories such as batteries and filters etc.

Cheers.

I've a Thinktank Slingomatic 10 and can highly recommend it for a Fuji X system. Well designed, well built, it can take my 2 X Pro 1s with 23mm and 55-200mm mounted. Also 14/35/60mm. A bit tight with all this but possibly ideal for your needs.

I'm just using a generic retro shoulder bag I picked up in TKMaxx (try searching retro shoulder bag on Amazon), inside I have a cheap padded camera bag with inserts that Aldi were selling for a couple of quid. I'm still waiting on my third lens to arrive, but I'm going to be using it for pretty much the same load out that you are proposing. With an air gel shoulder pad (a couple of quid from Amazon), it's a cheap, comfortable, lightweight and discreet bag that doesn't attract a lot of attention. I've been using it with a DSLR and a couple of lenses, with the smaller X-Pro1 there's plenty of space. And because it's not very stiff, it moulds to your side or back very well (just depends how you wear the strap, I usually wear it cross-body).

Thanks, looks like a good bit of kit. Possibly a tad overpriced as a Lowepro Slingshot 102 is much cheaper (although, less well made I'm sure).

My problem with shoulder bags such as those is that as I need to carry it when riding my motorbike from time to time it's just not feasible because it would fall off onto the road :p Thanks for the suggestion though.

Loweprowe passport slings are about 15 quid on eBay from China. Not entirely sure if genuine but I'll let you know what they're like when mine turns up in a week or two...!
