Hi

I need a backpack for heading to Lundy Island, it should be able to hold 2 dslr's two attached lenses, and one being the bigma.

I can find lots of bags available, but dont know if the bigma will fit inside attached to a body, and it needs to be attahced for quick access.

Has anyone any ideas, and how to you transport your bigmas?

Danny

I've yet to find any bag other than the massive Photo-Trekker series by Lowe-Pro that will take two mounted lenses on DSLRs...and be comfortable...

The largest are the Vertex 300AW and Super-Trekker AW with waterproof zips and a fold-out rain-cover.

Not actually immersion-proof, you'd need the smaller Dri-Zone 200 for that (we use them on Operations along with Peli-cases to stow them in)

Lowepro Vertex 100AW mate, just right size for body & 150-500mm also room for 70-200mm down the side and 3/4 more lenses or another body.

I actually use the smaller Photo-Treker AW:

In that I can get 2x D3 bodies (one with 24-70 mounted); 14-24; 17-35; 70-200; 16mm fisheye; 50mm; 85mm; 2x SB900; 4x batteries; 12x cards; charger & leads.
It has a seperate day-sack included which you can clip to the outside of the bag. In that goes anything else I need - 2x extra SB900; cleaning-kit; food, spare t-shirt, pants and socks etc.
Anything else is just too damn' heavy to lug around all day.

The compu-trekker can take my 120-300 mounted and a 70-200 mounted as well if you place them diagonally.

A Lowepro Flipside 400AW takes my Bigmos with room to spare for a couple of bodies, selection of lenses, tubes, flash, ring flash and ancillaries.

The Bigmos does sit nicely fitted to a body.

Vertex 300AW,,, there is a used one in the classifieds as we speak, being sold by Andy.

If you are looking to buy one of the big Lowepro bags and would like to save serious money have a squiz on Amaazon at Gem bags. Identical super construction waterproof cover etc; but fraction of the price.

I have one of these, I have pointed them out to other TPers who have bought them and been well pleased.

The Tardis of camera bags...The very big one that is.

I have a LowePro 300 Vertex and also the Bigma

There is plenty of room and then some!

Anyone know where the Vertex's are the cheapest? My Burton Zoom is looking worse for wear these days and I'm at maximum capacity. Thinking V200 for 2x D2Xs, 80-200mm, three flashguns, 50mm, 85mm, 10.5mm, 12-24mm, 17-50mm and accessories (batteries, skyports, cables etc) - the 200 big enough for all that?
