Backing up files in PE9

I have just got a Seagate portable H/D. I have tried to back up my catalogue via Elements 9. It goes through all the setup procedure, just as it starts to save, this comes up "Error ecountered while writing file(s)"

Any ideas how to get over this?

I have PSE9 and back up to an external HD using Windows, the same way as I would back up any files, copy and paste. I don't go through PSE9.

You could also try Sync Toy - free download here.

If you set it to echo it will only copy one way by comparing the source with the back up and copying any that are new or changed.
