My phone keeps telling me that I have not backed it up within the last 14 weeks. It tells me (something like).....connect to iTunes, wifi connection and disable??
When I connect the phone to iTunes I click the box to either back up to computer or iCloud and then press SYNC.
I thought I had done all that was necessary but it still keeps coming up intermittently with the same request.
Any ideas what I may be doing wrong please - I'm using the latest version of the IOS software
Thanks
Dave

I have tried both options but still get the message....not sure what I need to disable, if anything??

Do you have wifi switched on all the time? If you have it set to back up to iCloud, when you plug your mobile in to charge, it will back up using the wifi connection.

Yes, wifi on most of the time....do I need to set 'the back up to iCloud' on the phone or within iTunes as I have been doing. If I need to do it on the phone how would you do that please....I have an iCloud account and email.
I'll give it another go now
thanks
Dave

Settings then iCloud then Storage and Backup then put iCloud Backup to "on".

Many Thanks, it was set to ON anyway.
The message comes up about every few weeks so will see if it happens again, appreciate your help Ricardo thanks

I used to get that message at night time. I used to plug the phone in, then put it in airplane mode (so it wouldn't disturb me during the night). The back up couldn't happen because it was in airplane mode. Now I just use "Do Not Disturb" and it backs up fine and I never get that message. So, if it's plugged in, and connected to wifi, it should back up fine.

Thanks for your help and the update
Dave
