Basically im doing a simple photo shoot for a family member. Just a kind of children mini photo shoot, average teenage girl thing lol. Mostly for a bit of fun for them and a few pictures.

However i don't exactly own a backdrop as such (or backdrop stands) (As my photography is mostly location based using the surroundings etc. I do however have 2XSB800 Flash guns and stands for those :)

But im having to do this photo shoot in a small hall, however on the roof of the small hall are rails etc which i suppose i could tie stuff to.

Now what kind of things can i use for a backdrop? Any ideas, cheap as possible really, as ideally i don't want to purchase backdrops unless i have to :)

Gotta get this sorted by Wednesday lol, as i was going to be lent a backdrop but that fell through :( *cries*

Old bed sheets, or cheapie new ones.

have a look in somewhere like wilko's as they have bedsheets you can buy for a few quid and there are a few colours available white, black, brown and blue are the ones i know defintely exist. alternatively you could buy some curtains and create your own backdrop system.

Any specific material i should be looking for? Anyone had any success with this way?

Material is not really an issue, if your using a shallow depth of field it would be out of focus anyway, I have used a black towel in some of my macro flower shots. Of course hikey work would requidre a white sheet.
