Backdrop material

Im using black out blinds from Argos. They are a light colour on the reverse which is a bonus :-)
 
Vinyl is good and hard wearing. Depends what you are shooting. The important thing is how you light it.
 
If cost isn't an issue then a Lastolite hilite is the easiest way to go.
 
No answer on what is the best for white background work..... there are several solutions, and you have to choose the least worst for the situation you want to work in.

Banquet roll from a catering supplier is good for table top type shots. Not wide enough for much else but it is cheap and durable with a non-reflective surface.
