currently shoot with d7000
should i go for say a d90 or similiar?
or get a v1 type camera with mount to fit,
think it will be used with either, 35mm 1.4/sigma 50-150 2.8/ 10-20mm sigma

thanks

looking at the crop factor, the 50-150mm will just stay on ther camera

Why would you use the Siggy 35 1.4 on a cropper do you mean the 30mm?

I think the decision here depends on why you feel the need for a backup camera. Is this just for personal/amateur use or as a backup for professional use?

If personal/non-money making then the v1 + adaptor is a nice sounding option but if it's the other reason then personally I'd be wanting another dslr. The D300s would be my first choice as the controls and layout are very similar to the D700 but the D90 would be second on my list.

Hope that helps :)

I would stick to the DSLR route. The 1 series might be an attractive proposition since they're smaller and lighter but I would rather put up with the extra size (and even weight!) than make the compromise and lose a real OVF.
