Bit stressed today - I need to have a break and get some fresh air today so I decided to go back to the woods I walk for many years as a child/teenager.

Surprising how everything looks smaller, the long paths arn't so long, the grassed areas arn't so big.

Anyway I am wondering through with my camera - looking for a nice view or fallen tree or something when 6 youths (I thing it's spelt yobs) starting shouting abuse "hey nunce, what you doing with a camera" they were about 50 yards away so I decided the best thing was to ignore it. So I continued on and the abuse continued. I continued to ignore it an carried on. The next thing were some stones coming in my direction. The shouting continued but they were getting further away.

I decided to continue walking and take the long route back.

Now I should post that brilliant shot that made it all worthwhile - but I wasn't in the mood.

To think that I used to walk the same woods all days with no trouble at all.

There would have been a time when I would have faced someone down - but not nowadays ....

No I won't be going back on my own.

Tis a shame thats the way society has gone. And the fact you simply can't afford to face down people like that these days as they have so little respect for people that you'll more than likely get your head kicked it (or stabbed). Tis a sad truth unfortunately.

Carla and Niel - Thanks for you support.
I had just a taster - gives you a tiny insight in to what some people suffer on a daily basis.

You have my sympathy. I rarely go back to my old stomping ground for just that reason.

Unfortunately 26 days story is not uncommon.

It's getting ridiculous isn't it? Unfortunately even the boys in blue can do nothing, because the courts and goody 2 shoes PC brigade always take the side of these little ratbags. This is why we, the taxpayers, are paying compensation to toe-rags for having to wee in a pail whilst in prison supposedly being punished.
I never go anywhere near where I grew up, purely because it is a ******-hole populated with nasty little neds like that.

I grew up in a place that was crime free. Went back for a look after being away 30 years and it was clear that stopping my car was not on.
Every form of low life was there.

Situation is getting worse.

You should have taken photos of them

It's truly ridiculous how bad this country is getting now, even in rural woods and villages you get it now. Luckily my parents did a good job raising me so I know what I want to do with my life unlike these little ***** who will probably end up on the doll all their life with their 10 kids!

I think the situation was such that just looking at the scroats risked getting my car stoned.

my read my mum the OP and she told me about a customer of hers who was walking through an old people home gardens, and these "youths" were swearing, she quickly looked up and back down again and they started following her shouting and throwing stones at her. And this is in a small village again.

We should all gang up with our cameras and visit these little scroats houses and take photo's lol at 3am in the morning. FLASH FLASH FLASH :)

Thanks for all your support ... may be I should have got some pics, running thought the woods, turning and snapping a few shot, and become a war correspondant

Yep - Pirate Nielsouth - the though did cross my mine - the other point was that they were heading for a really expensive area - to cause trouble OR do they live there?

it gets on your nerves when they can hit you but you can't hit them. most youths dont have a life and think its funny to ruin other people, i am amazed though that they actually knew what a camera is lol:lol:

im 15 and 16 at the end of the year and im glad i werent one of these yobs when i was seven i was playing strategy games and lerning new words that these yobs didnt even know and i ended up being top of the class.

Little gits, need a slap. We're too soft on these mugs in this country. You could have taken pics of em and given to th local Police, see what they could do:shrug:

They won`t/can`t do anything Brian. Also, from experience, if you stand up to the scumbags and give them a lesson in "life", it is you that gets in the crap.

PS......Recommend me some music that you used to listen to.

Music for what:shrug::shrug::shrug: Driving, walking, dancing, chilling????????????????

Gone to rather than heejaq dis thread.....:D

Thanks again - reading through some of your experience shows just how common the type of behaviour is - hopefully some will wake up the the fact the yobs needed proper bounderies, at home, in school, and the police should have support as well.

For a bit of balance I have work with youngsters up to this age bracket and most of them are good kids but there are just a few that give all the others a bad name.
