I started off as a Mountain Bike rider who liked to take a lot of photos of the glorious landscapes I found myself in. After a while I realised that if I took enough photos one or two would turn out OK. This is how I discovered my interest (passion) for photography.
In November I took the leap and purchased my first DSLR. It was a big leap from my trusty P&S that I took everywhere and a big learning curve. I guess I just thought I would buy the DSLR and take even better shots than the P&S straight away.
Well my photography took a step back, before going forward again for number of reasons; I was learning how to use the settings and take a decent shot, I was trying other things rather than just snapping landscapes while out on my bike, I was learning how to use Photoshop (well PSE at least).
I'm in training for a couple of MTB events in the next couple of weeks. So was out early this morning trying to get the miles in. I took my P&S with me today and got these...

Back to my roots I guess.
Apologies if this is in wrong forum. Not really looking for C&C on the shots (although it is welcome - is the 2nd a bit over-saturated? LOL). I really wanted to just talk a bit about the low I've been through but now appear to be coming out the other side (I guess the spring weather and light helps a bit also!)...
