Hi all,

was wondering what is your favorite paper for printing b&w images.
At the moment I use Permajet Oyster Ultra Pearl 295 with my Canon Pro 9000 mk2 printer and must admit results are good, so leave well alone I hear you say but would like to hear your views on what you use and why.

Thanks for the reply Dave ( fellow geordie ) have heard that it is pretty good.
Has anyone used the Permajet titanium lustre 280, think it was made with b&w in mind but would like some feedback as it is not cheap.

I'm happy with the couple of b&w prints I've done on canson baryta photographique.

Sorry for the late thank you, will try some of these.

Hi,
Sorry this is a bit late but I have only just spotted your post, my favourite paper for monochrome prints is Fibaprint white semi-matte, I am also curious about Permajet titanium and posted a question about it on 4-8-13 but have had no replies, I saw a print on this paper at Focus but it was in colour so didn't really help much, I guess I'll just have to bite the bullet and buy some and try it for myself.
By the way I too am a fellow Geordie who moved south in the sixties when work was scarce in the north east.
Regards
Bob

thanks for that Bob, you can get trial packs from Permajet, one of which has two sheets of the platinum paper in, might go down that route.
