Hello!

For those who have one of these B&W 10 stop ND filter jobbies... where did you buy it?

I've been searching online but no-where seems to have them in stock. Where's the best place to purchase one, even if it does mean a bit of a wait.

Also feel free to post up an image or two in this thread, which you've taken using one. I wouldn't mind a look to see how people are using them...

thanks,
yvonne :)

Hi Yvonne,

Mine came from Warehouse Express (before the price of 'em went through the roof).

There are loads of shots taken with one in my Flickr stream if you want to take a look. :)

I was thinking of getting one, but I've just got an electronic timer that does time elapsed shots. Surely using that will give the same effect if the resultant images are stacked in Helicon or Registax? And it might be a lot sharper too.

One for sale on AVForums from a user with a name suspiciously like mine. Would fit 58mm kit lens.

Hi Rob,

You're only an hour down the road from me (depending on how you drive) so you're welcome to try mine before you go out and splash out on one. Have you had a word with Matthew or Neil in Carmarthen Cameras to see if they can get you one in?

Si

I'm not sure of the price differential, but maybe it would be worth picking up the more common 77 or 67mm version and a stepping ring. Most lenses are bigger than 58mm so more chance of using it with other lenses?

Lucky you for getting a bargain then! Checked out your photostream - you've just convinced me even more to buy one. Impressive work! :)

Have a look at maxsavers.

You have to contact them to get it on special order first ***.

Thanks, will check them out.

58mm is too small. I'm looking to buy a 77mm one. Thanks for the suggestion anyway.

got my 77mm ND10 from Speedgraphic as listed above by Canon Bob

I recently ordered mine through Fotosense.

Next day delivery, excellent service.

I`d say phone them to check stock levels, but they`re not listed as out of stock.

No, I haven't asked them. If I spend any more money on camera gear I think my wife of 23 years will be gone for the next 23. The auto-timer was £40 (bearable!). Are you at the Uni? Thanx for the offer.

Hi Rob,

I'm not at the uni but my other half is studying here. :) If you're up this way, drop me a PM and we'll meet up.

Take care,
Si

Whoo-Hoo... just got an email to say it's been dispatched & is on it's way. Excellent! :) Can't wait to get testing it out.

If you buy the larger one, you could always get away with step down rings.
