B is for....

so continuing my alphabet project...

After trying (and failing!) for days to capture a balloon bursting for my letter 'B', I needed something else...as I was on a photography course, I managed to capture this.

It wont be to everyone's taste as I decided to have a play about with it in photoshop - but I quite like it!

it looks as if you have just focused on the front part of the flowers so i think a slightly larger DOF would of helped here, the background is not great as the red on the left and what looks to be half of a person on the right are very distracting,

i do however prefer the edit to the original although it could do with losing the patterned effect

thank you Hayley. I didn't notice the person to the side, thanks. I actually really like the patterned effect personally - I think it makes a fairly bland image a little more interesting. But I knew it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea.

I converted it into B & W to lose the red - I am aware this is distracting and knew it would be when I took the shot. The shot was taken literally on the fly whilst waiting for our tutor to show us something so I couldn't frame up as well as I would of liked.

prefer the colour one here - I might be inclined to crop the shadow from the right, and de-saturate the red and leave it as colour.
