They're currently doing a deal at tesco for a tenner a month for a rolling phone contract. Five hundred minutes, 500mb data usage, and unlimited texts. I'll be switching this Sunday with any luck! Here's the HotUKDeals post on it. Seems a crackin' deal to me. Talk to me.

does sound unbelievably good, shame i`m tied to orange for the next 18months! however it would come down to one thing at the end of the day SIGNAL i`ve tried vodaphone, O2 and they were pants for reception where i live and use the phone most but orange comes up trumps so in a way i dont mind paying extra if i have a phone i can use everywhere!
 
Ah that's unfortunate, yes I've heard Orange is best for Cornwall, so fair enough really.
 
Think tesco work off the o2 masts if thats any help.:shrug:
 
Mobile operators are installing new masts all the time, check the coverage data on their websites for up to date info.
 
I had a tesco rolling contract and changed to this, cracking deal. Not going so well in the 3G dept though, get edge a lot but never seen the 3G symbol yet.

That's the problem I had, rung 'em up and my new sim should be here tomorrow with any luck. Had 3G with my O2 sim so it must be a faulty one of theirs. Will keep you posted when I get the new one, fingers crossed!
 
Were you getting edge and not 3G? I wasn't getting anything other than GPRS before spoke to them and they said take the sim out and reinsert and try that. Now I get wee but still now 3G. I think a phone call is in order again.
 
No 3G at all, Edge if I were lucky. Still waiting for the post...
 
GPRS, occasionally and sporadically, where I live. No Edge or 3G. Vodafone works reasonably well, O2 up to a point, and the rest, well, basically no signal. ADSL, yes, but slow. Price we pay for living in rural Scotland I suppose!
 
Just got my new SIM through the post, 3G awaaaaay! =D
 
That's a bit odd, I get great data with o2, usually HSDPA too so pretty good to be fair. Wonder if the Tesco one has limited bandwidth, I used to have a works issue o2 phone and that was terrible, much worse service on business contracts both for data and call quality.
 
Just phoned up and they are sending a new sim out, fingers crossed!
 
Brilliant heads-up, thanks for that. Have put my dad straight onto that as O2 are offering nothing good for renewing his current contract and he's sold on it!

Tell me about it! Best O2 could do for me which was similar was 600 mins, unlimited text and data for £25 on a rolling contract. Madness! :cuckoo:

I rang three yesterday evening as my sons £10 a month contract was good but the phone had broken! I asked for an upgrade with them after looking through the refurb phones and was going for a samsung s8000, the girl on the other end of the phone in India was brilliant and she ended up doing us a deal for a new Nokia X6 on 500mins, 5000 txts, 5000 three to three, 1gb data usage all for £15 a month. Ok so its a long contract at 24months (nowhere seems to be doing any less at the moment) But three have been really good to us and their 3g signal is excellent.
 
finally got my 3g sorted, would have been nice if they had told me id have no sim until the new one turned up! all sorted now though.
 
FWIW I've just gpt a Blackberry curve 8520 for £10/ month from Virgin with 50 inclusive minutes/250 texts & unlimited internet.

Thought it was an OK deal for what I need
 
i picked one of these sim deals today. gfvm i would say

i think the offer ends this sunday though, so better get down to the shops if you want one
