Hi All,

I have a Canon 300 F/4L arriving in the post tomorrow. (Thanks SportySnaps)

I'm hoping to use it for aviation photography around the machLoop and at airshows.

I'm looking at getting either a 1.4TC or a 2.0TC

I can't really afford the Canon MkII extenders so I was thinking about the Kenko Pro 3000 series - any thoughts or recommendations ?

Rob

Rob the 300mm will be fine for the loop, I never use more than 300mm there, some of my best pics are with a 150mm prime from CadWest.

Stick with the 1.4X TC, you lose AF and quality above that, with the F4 lens.

My avatar pic, is a un-cropped shot @ 150mm @CadWest

I've got the Kenko 1.4 Pro 3000 DG and it seems to work well on my 300 F4 (Nikon)

Thanks for the info Martin, I'm hearing the same over on flylow :-)
