Average Print Size (ordered)

Afternoon,

Just wondering what you guys do the most in the way of print sizes?

adding options to some games on my site, stuck with 7 x 5 as the average, other sizes available on request

lately I have done 6x4, 7x5, 8x6, 10x8 and 12x8

Just wondered what you all think is about the average size people want

perfect size for me would be 9x6 but not many would use them

Think about what are the common size photo frames... 7x5, 10x8 etc.

I do 7x5 only as I can guarantee quality up to that size, I can at larger than that.
 
I have been selling online fopr years..well before i went full time... I have always sold 7x5 which also crop to a4, a3 ect..In all those years I have only ever been asked by one person (regular customer) for 8x6 .. otherwise everyone happy wiht the one size... no odd croppping for 6x4 as nobody ever askes..

i would keep it simply.. choose a crop ratio and stick to it..nobodies botherd :)

The trouble is that apart from 6x4 frames all the 3:2 prints are hard to find frames for, and personally I don't see the point in 10x8 but obviously some people use them.

I have 6x4s mostly and then 12x8s sometimes there's the odd 9x6 :)

Sports events seem to be a little different.. when mum buys pics of her child.. she goes through the game and buys them all... i am guesisng like my wife she shows them off then sticks em in a drawer to be looked at again in 20 yrs... there not usualy all for framing..I get asked for a4 or 13 when its framing time and i dont have to re crop :)
 
Interesting to read your thoughts

I think I made the mistake in asking what sizes people want as well as throw some sizes at them so to speak

now I have 7x5 as my main ones for sport I can print/frame A4 (18x8 approx) or A3 (16 x 12 approx) easily enough
