Autopole question

Hi everyone, I'm currently moving into a new studio and thinking about auto poles to save room. The manfrotto ones are quite pricey so I've been looking at the pixapro ones. I'm in the uk so the kits from B&H are way too expensive with all the taxes and post. Does anyone have any experience with the pixapro poles? Also the minimum height is slightly too tall for my studio so I need to know if they can be cut down a bit. Many thanks in advance.

I speak of the Mafrotto that I have (2 sets).
Yes, the may be cut but be careful that the inner tube
is not poking out.
