Automate watermarking?

Yes but I need the pictures non watermarked and watermarked for various reasons and it takes nearly 3 hours to do one export :(

OK, I hear ya.

Try taking a look at LRMogrify. This will allow you to watermark (up to 3 lines of text, or even an image/logo) any combination of your images - on export.

Sorry if I am teaching granny to suck eggs, but if I am not, please shout if you need more info.

3 hours to do one export? :o

I use LrMogrify and it makes it so simple, but if you are stuggling with export times it might not help. I always stuggled with photoshop actions, always seemed a bit hit and miss :( so afraid I can't help there.

on cs3

open image-window-actions-icon second from right at bottom-create new action call it what you like then hit the record button. Do whatever needs to be done to your image to watermark it i usually place text layer over it and reduce the opacity then flatten the image and save as into a seperate folder. Then hit the stop recording button (bottom left).

Then file-automate-batch-drop down to your action tab to select your recorded action-choose destination folder and i always make sure the "stop for errors" is checked not "log errors to file" as this always produced a programme error.

Thats it your done

hope this is what you meant and hope it helps

If it takes 3 hours in Lightroom I'm sure it will take just as long, if not longer in Photoshop. Why do you need to export 2000 images at a time? Mogrify won't make it any quicker, it will just give you more options for different fonts, placement and graphical watermarks.
