auto slow sync .................. what is it?

Just been looking through my menu and came across this; Auto slow sync .................. what is it?

Camera drops shutter speed to balance ambient with flash.

Why the need to reply, 2 days later, quoting someone else, when the answer (succinctly explained btw, probably unlike the manual) has been posted?

In a post, the more people who agree with a comment can add weight to the opinions, and help the OP decide if that advice is good or not.

While Richard did explain, it's still advisable to read the manual, as there's a great deal of other stuff you'll learn if you do, and it will save you asking question after question about your own gear all the time.

As for 2 days... well.. I've not checked the forum for 2 days.

Reading the manual is always good advice.

Don't you tend to put "see post # 3" if the answer has already been posted (at least you tend to if YOU have posted the answer first)

Only if someone has misunderstood something, yes, saves repeating myself.

That's not what's going on here though, it's adding some weight to someone else's opinion. It's a means to measure how many people agree with that opinion or not. You see it all the time, in many threads. It's useful.

Why are you so bothered? You feel advising someone to read their manual is bad advice or something?

Nah... you just have a problem with me. Just block my posts if I annoy you, and stop derailing threads.

2 days? Man that 'is' slow sync!

Actually, with the forum software problems these days, it's taking 2 days just to (double) post.
