auto iso???

so i set the iso on my nikon D7200 at max 6500 auto iso, so why am i getting shots at 6500 iso in bright sunshine, why not at a lower setting?
am i missing a setting that i am not seeing, driving me mad.

Do you have any images or EXIF data ? you could be shooting at f22 at 1/000s without any other information it's hard to determine.

If you are shooting in bright sunshine why not just set the ISO manually to 100 / 200 ISO - what's your subject ?

When you're working with asymmetric information it's very difficult to offer any advice.

Go into settings. Check iso sensitivity is on Base iso, then change max sensitivity to 6400. If Base is 6400 and max that's all you'll get.

thanks, i just noticed that my shutter auto setting was set too high..all sorted now.
