Yes
Is anyone using, and has an opinion on the auto-focus adapters (Commlite, etc) to use Nikon G lenses on a full frame Sony e mount?

I have the manual focus adapter (which I am no0t using!) but I would like to try my Sigma 35 & 85 lenses on the Sony.

The adapter, at about £300, is rather expensive if it doesn't do the job properly!

Thanks.

bttt for the weekend!

Is this the speedboosters I've heard about? Fantastic piece of kit from accounts I've heard

I don't think they are speedboosters Mark, just adapters that allow auto-focus of Nikon lenses on the sonys.

Thanks Jonathan, doesn't look that impressive then! The cost of the adapter would go some way towards a Batis then, with guaranteed results.

I have a sigma mc-11 adapter canon to Sony e mount, which another poster quite rightly informed me is not available for nikon. May be worth researching if there is one on the way because it works really well.

Having said that as soon as they release a batis 35mm the amazing sigma 35mm may need a new home because the true beauty of mirrorlesa is lightweight native lenses for me.

Seems crazy to not have a USB port to update it. It doesn't look like it's good enough to rely on at all.

I've got the sigma mc11 for the 35mm art. Works very very well.

Which version of the 35mm Art do you have Jonathan, the Canon?

I have the Nikon version and it is superb on my Nikon, I was hoping to use it on the Sony along with the 85mm (non-Art).

The canon version. The Nikon won't autofocus I'm afraid and I'm not aware of metabones or sigma are working on an adapter for Nikon. You'd think they must be, but it's proving difficult.

The sigma adapter is very good. All the focus settings are available.

Wex are actually doing a really good deal. I got the 35 and the adapter for £629. I think the adapter and the 50mm is £611
