Auto cropping

I have a vast number of prints I wish to scan. The scanner I have (Fujitsu fi-6130) is capable of scanning large number of prints at a a time, but the software (Vuescan) though very powerful, will only produce individual scans as a strip of images. ie if I scan 4 prints, it does them one after the other but the output is a long image of the 4 prints. These have to be manually cropped and saved, using Photoshop, into individual images. I can scan each one in turn of course but as I said, I have a lot of prints so it would help to automate. Quality is not a particular issue - most are old and of family importance, not aesthetics!
Is there any app to automate this?
