I am off to Auz to see my Sis, we may be off camping for two weeks while there, I am disabled in so much as I have a fused ankle & nerve damage below the knee on one leg, taking all this into consideration do I take the D300, 300mm f4, 10-20 Sigma & 24- 70 or do I make life much easier and buy a Coolpix P100 or something similar for the trip

Hi Pete,
Had this issue last year when I went to visit relatives in Oz. In the end didn't leave anything to chance I took all my kit inc my uber heavy Manfrotto tripod (which I broke down and packed into separate suitcase). In the end I was glad I did as I used it all and without my tripod and remote release couldn't have got this shot

.

If you are camping though I don't think you have the choice of taking all your lenses wish I'd had a 10-20 though. Whatever you choose you'll have plenty of subject matter to take photos of.

Thx Pete. I am really pleased with it which is not often the case with me. Where are you going in Oz? We were in the Brisbane area most of the time but spent 3 days in Sydney and a Week on the Sunshine Coast at Coolam Beach.

Starting in Perth then Collie, then probably Exmouth, My nephew is in Brizzy, but he is moving back to WA before we go
