Dunno if anyone up north has any chances of a dark, clear sky either tonight or tomorrow night but there's an X-class emission on it's way and it might be a biggie.

Clear sky is looking likely but dark? No chance.

Aurora watch have issued a red alert a couple of hours ago (via twitter), not sure if it'll go dark quick enough, but I'll be keeping my eyes peeled. Can see up to the lake district on a clear night, may not be far enough north!

Did see a staggering Aurora in Chester though as a kid. Directly overhead!

Unlikely to get dark up here in the far north of Scotland.

Seems it was seen as far south as Suffolk last night. I told you it was big

No chance of seeing it here, too much rain!

I looked out but the northern direction is rather built up so difficult to see much. Think I might have seen a slight green tint but that was it!

What times did it happen?

Looking back through the Aurorawatch timeline it looks like it peaked at about 2:00am
