Aurora, heads up.

done some searches and everything is saying peak K7 will be between 3am and 6am ???

Its at 5.33 just now. Starting to show up here on Skye, but still a bit cloudy.

Total cloud cover here and not one star to be seen :(

Am I right I. Thinking it could be possible tomorrow night also?

well according to that site ^^^, it looks like its kicking off now, of to pack my camera for what could be a long night, if i have signal I will post from location with updates for any southerners :)

Hmmm... cloud / mist cover here (which has been here for the entire day) has just lifted - lights across the water are now visible. No green lights in the sky yet so haven't been abducted by aliens so far.

Fingers crossed we can see it here (Inverclyde/Renfrewshire) but the Argyll hills might get in the way.

Only downside is Mrs pjm1 is still out so with two young children in bed I'm not going anywhere to take photos! We have 3 storeys but even the top floor doesn't have the best views (and the north facing rooms are the kids bedrooms) :(

Can't see anything in the sky anyway...

That's not a bad bet. If you head up to FW then you might find some of the mist clearing because of the hills. Worst case you just keep going or even take the Invergarry road to Lochalsh as you say. You've got over 3 hours probably of activity by the look of things so if you don't get something nobody will!

Glencoe is right misery at the moment. There is a temptation to carry on to Skye...

Need to get some elevation or at least mountain-less view North.

Head for Broadford - 24hr co-op at the petrol station and open water looking North would be my tip

Slight green band across the sky here on the north coast of northern Ireland. Low cloud drifting about now and again though.

I've seen it twice, once on the way home from a gig in the early hours, a green glow as I looked across the fell tops, the second time was quite spectacular, just like a waving curtain across the sky, I even got the wife out of bed to have a look, no camera in those days sadly, that must have been a large event from what I know nowadays.

It didn't get any better weather wise up here. Cloudy with mist/fog prevented it I'm afraid.
Might try again tonight.

No joy here in Gairloch. Was out about 10:30pm last night (quite a lot of cloud) and again at 2am(total cloud cover), Ah well.

it didn't seem like it was going to be visible in east Yorkshire

It was / is very cloudy in Flamborough so I went to bed . The lighthouse foghorn was going of early hours so can't have been good weather to see it .

This is as much as i could see from Dunluce Castle on the north coast of Northern Ireland. There was just a green tinge across the sky, nothing visible with the naked eye. The crowds along the road were unbelieveable, there was more about than you would get on a sunday afternoon with most people expecting to see a light show with their eyes. This was about 1.30am. I have seen some shots taken shortly after 9pm which had reds and greens in them.

Just finishing off some work - yawning.

Need to take the dogs for a quick run up the hill but it looks a bit misty outside here in rural Perthshire.
