Regarding the savings on adobe products ( photo shop CS3 Extended for about £140 plus lots of others) For students, I decieded to go into it a little more. It seems that all you need is your course reg doc and photo ID (as we don't have student ID cards) You can order on line see the link below.
If your order is rejected and I see no reason why it should be, you won't be billed BUT you do have to supply credit card details and set up an account.
Now, It says that it is the extended version but I am not sure if its the full version or not as the word "student" is included in the title but the full extended version is on the Adobe site at over £800!
The photoshop CS3 full version is up for grabs at over £569 So if you are concidering a purchase along these lines it might just be worth the £150 enrolment fee? The upgrade full price is £163. I assume that this is the upgrade from CS2 to CS3
BUT don't take this as gospel. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE satisfy YOURSELF that this is the right offer and I haven't made any wrong assumptions!

UP DATE
I have just recieved an email from Adobe (in part) :-
"We are pleased to inform you that your proof of academic identification has been accepted. Your order has been processed."

I sent Via email, my letter of acceptance on to the course and my photo card driving licence ( Scanned copies of both)

Further up date : the discs arrived courier today and it is the extended version but gawd know what I am gonna do with all the other stuff :shrug:

Mine has just arrived too, just as per Cobra's and my earlier post. If I'd spent £800, I would have wanted a bigger box than 8" x 6"!!!!!!!

With the money I saved, now I can go buy the new laptop

LOL @ the box comment I call that bloody quick delivery as the first confirmation email I got said "16th July" but not which year
All I gotta do now is learn to use it. :rules:

I said I woudl never buy CS2 let alone CS3 but at that price what's a guy to do :shrug:
