Attaching lights to a ceiling

Hi Everyone

When photographing a child or baby lying on the floor. I want to be able to position a light directly over them.

Can I get an attachment to the ceiling so I can pull my lights up and down as required. Or some kind of boom arm maybe.

Not really sure exactly what I need. ANy ideas!!

I use this boom, its pretty sturdy... however if your going to be using it at max extension I'd opt for something a little more heavy duty like the other mentioned above. I get quite a lot of flex with a studio flash and beauty dish when I extend it a lot.

Another useful tool is a false-ceiling clamp

although that's only really useful for rooms with err....false ceilings :nuts:

Thanks guys the boom arm mentioned looks just the thing.

Don't have an assistant when I'm working in the studio unfortunately.
