Yes
My sis got engaged and I thought it would be cool to arrive at the wedding later this year in an Aston as she loves the DB9, does anyone know anybody who may own one who would rent it out for the day? I know there are specialists but the daily costs are just about doable but the deposits required are out of my reach, between £3500-£5000!!

Her big day, her who likes Astons and your going to steal some of the lime light by arriving in one :D
Shame on you, surely you should be renting one for her as a wedding present ?

No mate, I am paying for it so I can take her from the House to the Ceremony, so as her wedding car!!

lol fair play. remember to do some harsh accelerating and a few doughnuts on the way to the church, she will be well impressed

Well my initial idea was to hire one for a long weekend so i could have some fun in it as well of course but that is about £1300 plus a £5k deposit!! Hence wanting to "borrow" one, may look at a test drive but i dunno how serious they will take me, not like getting a fiesta for a day, can't see em just tossing the keys at me without extensive checks and obviously I haven't got the funds to purchase

That 5k deposit will be the insurance excess, bring it back with a dent in it and you can say goodbye to that, you're correct about the dealers, they won't let you near a DB9 until they're sure you can afford it.

nice idea but some M&S vouchers is more practical

You'd be better off booking it as a chauffeured car. THey do the driving, so you don't pay the deposit. Nt as fun for you, cramped in the back, but it si for your sister.....

EIther that or go for something equaly nice but bigger, so you can both enjoy. Remember big fluffy dressses and sports cars don't mix.....

Contact Aston Martin Owners Club.

I have done a search in their forum (search with the word 'weddings') and they do get asked this a lot and they do (sometimes) help out. I would go there and ask very nicely.

....although it seems a DB9 is a rare beast and not really suited to a bride in a wedding dress: would a different sort of Aston do?

I'm sure there's someone on Pistonheads forums who does this with his Aston and another guy with a Lambo Murci too

Contact Aston Martin Owners Club. Some kind soul may help. Driving and being driven are two different things!

This is what I'd do. I remember someone contacts the mini club I used to be a member of and she ended up with a convoy of 15 or so minis at her wedding.

Sweet you guys rock, I will work my way through the suggestions

This is what worried me when I looked into Supercar hire for my wedding a few years back. You can (hopefully) look after the car however I wouldn't trust other people near it. :(

It's a hell of a lot of money to be lost if something were to happen.:shake:

Or you could buy a Bugatti Veyron and let your brother have a go when it's less than a week old

Borrow Ronaldos Ferrari......
