Hello,

i needed to repeat prints from an event i did, but not time to send them away so have opted to print at ASDA.

Just took the memory card in and selected photos but the bloke on the stand said i needed to sign something to say that i was okay with them being printed even though they were my print.

Any ideas what i need to do?

thanks

yeah but he didnt have anything for me to sign, said i had to come back with something signed to save i gave them permission to print

Did you use their instant print solution , or the traditional one hour/24 hour service?

If you did use the kiosk/instant print option , the chances are it went through a Sony Dye Sub printer, probabaly a UPDR150. By the by.

I think he's probably referring to copyright jargon, as Asda have this policy, so he,s probably asking you for proof that you have taken the photos in question, i was in there a few months ago and seen the very same thing with a woman who came in and wanted some wedding pics developed, the girl on the counter told her she needed proof that they were her photos, while i agree to an extent it's the jobsworth thing, as they have this policy you may get the same response from any other member of staff, on a side note, if you need the prints quick and have a Staples near you i found their prints much better ;)

I wonder if he thinks they are not your pics? Perhaps your decent shots mean "professional" to him and he is afraid you dont hold copyright on the images.

1/ Asda have a policy where they must clarify the copyright position, which I think is great as I've had a few punters had to come back to me for permission to print.

2/ When you get them back they will have 'ASDA' printed on the rear along with the file number etc, a big minus point if you are going to sell them on.
