Arrrggh! No JPEG option in PS4 'save as' options...

Don't know what I've done wrong but after doing some final extra editing on few images in Lightroom which I then opened in PS4 to sharpen, I can't work out how to convert them to JPEGs (which I need to do asap to send to Sam's Photolab!).

The 'save as' option gives me a limited list - Cineon, Dicom, FXG, IFF, LDF, PS PDF, PS RAW, PNG, PBM, TIFF - but no JPEG! Any help appreciated, including a reason why this happens so I know how to avoid it in future. :thinking:
 
Two things spring to mind:
1) have you flattened the image?
2) are you using something other than 8 bit RGB?
 
Ah thanks guys - I have them in 16 bit - doh!

You are all shining stars in a stark landscape of ... erm ... badly edited photos ... or ... erm something like that... :thumbs:

EDIT: and apols for late replies - putting kids to bed duties.
 
Does File>Save for Web not exist? I use CS2, so forgive me if I'm wrong.

Oh, and .png looks so much better.
 
Just FYI.
I loaded an image from the net in GIF. I was trying to convert to jpeg and it still wouldn'tdo it even on 8-bits.

tried image>mode>RGB color and all "save as" convertions appeared...even jpeg.

I think that you're about 14 months too late.
