Planes crashing, boats sinking and burning and other weird s***.......is the end nigh? Should we be on the look out for four horsemen?

6 plane incidents in the last week and 3 boats............

Me thinks it might just be safer to stay indoors........unless a meteorite hits the house

Nothing to do with a so called armageddon....just idiot humans.

And it's four boats.

The one on fire, one in Scotland and one at the isle of Wight......which is the fourth?

I don't think the two abandoned runaway boats full of immigrants were exactly as scheduled either.
Forgot about the one on fire

Five then.

Don't laugh but i've been a doomsday prepper for ages now, my house is stocked up with food and water, enough to last me months, just in case we ever get a SHTF event :)

You'll see us all soon then! :D

My guests last night commented, pretty much tongue in cheek, on how much stuff i have stocked up, they'll be the first knocking on my door when/if it ever happens :)

Form an orderly queue please :P

How often do/will you have to replace it when nothing happens?

I rotate my supplies as and when they approach their best before date, if you buy the right food you would be surprised how long that best before date can be.

technically the one in southampton water hasnt sunk. quite the opposite in fact :D

Technically, no one mentioned sinkings :p

Edit...except in the first post

That is why I live on top of a hill with three 4x4's, and have two of each animal within reach ;)

So, when the next flood happens, you'll be able to drive around the contour line to which the waters rise until your fuel runs out... ;) You need a sailing boat to add to the collection.

Well The end is definitely nigh.....Went to buy a chicken for tonights dinner and the shelves are bare in the supermarket......had to settle for 28 day old steaks :D

I can help you out with a boat/ sailing vessel :) got plenty here..... not sure if they will hold 2 of every animal

I have something bigger in mind :) and ocean worthy.

That is better. Or something beginning with HMS and big guns on it :)

Is this big enough? and it has guns
I guess it will do, however as Bernie174 says, it has no weaponry they rely on other agencies. And then there is all the old HMRC computers on boards etc....I think a RIB with a 50mm mounted on it will do better :)

No..I thought that the first time I saw one as well. But, no it's not it's a hose for firefighting.

Why the hell do they need a high pressure hose..... surely a gun would have been a better option......my cousins work for the Canadian coast guard and they have guns all over the place......

Guns don't extinguish fires so well

Also, in the US and Canada, the Coastguard are one of their 5 armed forces.

Maybe the coastguard in the UK should become an armed force.....imagine the scene....the Taliban or Isis launch a full frontal invasion on the coast of Kent and the coastguard turn up with a hose to ......"insert your suggestion here"

I suspect there were far higher numbers than that.

Four horsemen, couldn't help thinking of this one:

Cheers.

No, Canadian Coast Guard is not a law enforcement or military service. It's a civilian organisation part of the ministry of Fisheries and Oceans. Canada has 3 armed forces the RCN, The Canadian Army and the RCAF. Although the RCMP does have the same status as a Regiment of Dragoons, they are not Military.

The US only has 4 Armed forces, I presume you are counting the US Marine Corps which is a componant of the US Navy, in exactly the same way as The Royal Marines are part of the Royal Navy.

No floods yet. Trains are operating well as well on my way to my Ivory tower in Westminster.

The USMC & US Navy are both come under the secretary of the Navy, and are referred to commonly as the US Naval Service. It is only separate in terms of a name.
In exactly the same way that the Royal Marines are part of the UK's Naval Service. While afloat they are subject to Naval control, when ashore the revert to Army control. It doesn't however make them a separate stand alone branch, nor are the USMC.
It would be like saying we have a couple of 100 different Armed forces, RN, RAF, RFA, RM, RAF Regiment, then each distinct Corps and regiment in the army. They are all semi independent, in the same way as the USMC is, but part of the Army.
