I'd used this vinyl once before from New. Rolled it up and its been on the stand ever since. Unrolled it today to find this down the middle on the full 7m length!!

Can you get these things out as they look pretty terminal. I haven't unravelled it all off the tube yet as I think I want to know what is down at the bottom layers thats causing it....trapped air maybe?

low heat iron? or maybe a steam iron blasting it. may not work as it is vinyl, but could be worth just hanging it for a few days and letting them drop out?

Ouch iron is a bit extreme on vinyl, try a steam mop if you can get your hands on one.

I had some creases on mine, hanging it and blowing it with a fan heater helped... took quite a long time though.

EDIT - Just got a reply from the guy I got it from. I have a telescopic Colorama Background system and he thinkings it maybe the pole has sagged under the weight and the core is bent. He recommends a new core and a re-roll of the vinyl. So maybe something people should watch out for with multi pole or telescopic poles.

Is the core aluminium? Maybe suggest they use a thicker wall tubing if it is... it shouldn't sag! I also bought some aluminium tubing that I slide inside the cores of my paper rolls to stop those sagging too.... works a treat. I use 2"od/16swg tubing from HERE in case it's of use to anyone.

Thanks flashman. My pole is a telescopic one so I think that is the problem. I looked down the side when it was on the stand and the pole was sagging. The core is cardboard.
They have offered me a new roll if the re-roll on a new tube doesn't work.

I may have to resort to taking the vinyl down after using it and placing it on a flat surface for storage.

I have my vinyl on a 4" dia carpet roll core (very very thick cardboard) free from the local carpet store and you could probably stand on it without it bending LOL. Works a treat for me on a Calumet HD support. If you cut the core to fit the length of your horizontal pole right up to the stands then it puts no pressure on the horizontal pole at all too.
