I've just been vaccinated now Microsoft know my every detail via 5G masts so I can use contactless to my hearts content.
Wonder if they could incorporate a payment system into the booster jab, just use a cheek swab then.

When you have finished those, cut the top and bottom off, cut the can down one side, file off the sharp edges and hammer the can flat, you can use it to protect your aluminium foil hat. ;)

I'd imagine the response will be something along the lines of control, the great reset, etc etc etc the usual conspiracy stuff. Why the tin foil hat brigade think what they're doing is so interesting that it has to be hidden away from Google / the government / Bill Gates is a mystery to me.
 
I agree that a government agency could probably back track from you to me but I go through number of servers all in different countries each link is encrypted the last server in this case Talk photography will think my traffic is coming from the previous server and will only see that so would not have clue as to where it all started from I use device and Browser finger printing protection which corrupts the data so that I cannot be tracked by those finger prints and my true ip address will never be known. You don't have to put that information on the net all you need to do is buy a few things, watch a few videos , post on Facebook and they then know everything about you , you gave it to them and agreed that in order to use their service you had to give it all to them. These people know more about you than your own government. Whilst I don't think I can evade everything at least I am corrupting as much as possible so that it is little use to them. If you put my real name into the internet there are no results which actually match me. On the other hand if you put my daughters name on the net it brings up some interesting details, where she works, her job position , her face book posts ++++

People get sacked for thier facebook profile for thing they did years ago

O.k a few questions Richard, first can I have your bank details with security codes, can I have a list of all your internet accounts with pass words, give me your address , email address and telephone number, What did you last go to the doctor for, what was your last purchase, what are your children's names and where do they live ,how old are they,Can I have a copy of all your family photos, Now if you post all of those up on here then fair play to you, you have nothing to hide but some how I doubt you will !

Can you explain why any of that is relevant? No-one is proposing that you give any of that information.

My bank details and security codes aren't freely available online. Nobody's are unless they're daft enough to explicitly go and post them somewhere. I use a password manager so I don't actually know most of my own passwords. Someone could put a gun to my head and ask for my Amazon account password and I wouldn't be able to tell them, it's a randomly generated string. Loads of my photos are on here, Facebook and Instagram so if you're connected to me on a social network go ahead and look. If I've shared them I'm happy for people to see them. I publically share what I'm comfortable with people seeing. For example my Instagram is largely dedicated to my motorsport photography work, and is completely public so I don't really share any images of my wife on there, as she's not in control of who sees them. I put my dog on there sometimes but he's too interested in food to wonder where his tinfoil hat has gone.

I don't mind being served personalised adverts online either. Ads keep the internet running and keep it free. Would you be happy to pay to access the websites you use every day?
Occasionally I'll be served an ad I'm interested in and I'll click through and buy something. No issue with that whatsoever, and as someone who runs a small motorsport news website I'm glad of the few £ a month Google ads brings in. If I'm not interested I just ignore them. I could use an ad blocker but I don't, because ads are how websites make money and keep running.

We even have two Google Nest Home smart speakers in the house so Google knows when we turn the lights on and what music we listen to. The horror!

The point is everyone has their secrets, and there are a lot of people who do give that sort of detail away ,thats why we have whats called online fraud , You may of heard of it !
 
I would agree it's got nothing to do with the thread , when this started I pointed out my reasons for mainly using cash one of which was privacy, Then I was attacked by a few fascists who could tell I was wrong because they knew it after all only they could be right! I tried to bring it back on track and then again a couple of you had to tell me I'm wrong for doing what I choose to do. You can do as you see fit carry on as will I.

But you have already started a paper trail of your own, if someone is desperate enough, that paper trail will produce more and more detail.

Sorry now I'm bringing it off subject, But radio Hams have now got to take measurements or make calculations as to how strong the Electro magnetic field is around anyone who can come near to there antennas and adjust their setups to keep levels below a certain point as have anyone else who designs Transmitting radio tech, so there may be something in wearing a tin hat after all ! :)
 
No protection or refunds when the cash filled mattress is pillaged.
 
I used cash in Asda this morning, and I really enjoyed shoving all that change in the self service cash machine.
Using cash, there will not be a trace of all those nasty sweets I bought. :)

That is definitely one of the draw backs with cash, electronic fraud is pretty nasty but rarely violent. I saw a bit of snippit on a news artical which was saying various businesses would only use cards, this was to stop there being money on site or someone having to transport it to the bank.

Back onto cash, The local shop where I buy beer Bread and milk from quite often Robs me of my coins does me a favour and him at the same time as he always struggles with not having enough change, I guess if everyone paid with cards that wouldn't be a problem. Then a friend of mine with a pet shop was telling me that he wouldn't take cards as
a lot of his items only had a small profit margin and the card charges to him as a business in some cases would cause him to loose money , swings and round abouts !

I lost a stone and a half during first lockdown, managed to put a stone back on when the gyms were allowed to open again, I fear I may have lost another stone and a half again, maybe more. Got some serious work to next month when the gym can hopefully reopen.
 
I use a combination of cards and cash, I like the flexibility of cash. When I buy a camera for £400 on my card, I don't think of it as cash going out, so it easy for me to do. If I had that same £400 in cash, I would think twice about spending it on a camera, I would be thinking of all the bills I could be paying off.
