Are you planning for war or disaster?

This is maybe the maddest thing I have seen on here. Are you on a wind up. :D

If my missus said that to be I would be more likely to take her to see a doctor rather than help her with food prepping.

That wouldn't surprise me at all but I think giving her this is better than questioning her mental health and dragging her off to "a doctor".

As posted above we're all preppers to some degree and you have to factor in what's been happening in Thailand recently with the shelling of civillian areas, evacuations and the possibility of all out war with Cambodia. That has to be in her mind. We lived through covid and the restrictions at the time in the uk and it's not hard to imagine similar or worse so shelf of long lasting food or even an emergency bag doesn't seem like a reason for a trip to the dr to me.

I grew up in Northern Ireland. Daily battles on the street. Many days lost due to trying to avoid bombings. Friends shot dead, friends kneecapped etc. So has my missus, her Dad was police and they had to move a few times once after a device was found under her Mum’s car and a couple of times because of threats. Neither me or her ever thought that “prepping” is something we needed to consider.

While of course your missus would likely be concerned for her family back in Thailand “prepping” in the U.K isn’t going to help with that.

The only food shortages over Covid were caused by idiots bulk buying.

Genuinely I would have a long chat with your wife and ask her if she needs help with anxiety rather than feeding into it and potentially making it worse.

We need to avoid making personal comments :police:

There's no mental health issue in watching a few Youtube vids and being worried about world events as long as it doesn't take over your life or genuinely affect your life or health, mental or otherwise. She's fine both physically and mentally. Believe me :D Compared to some on here including you, and this is not an insult to you or anyone here, stocking up on a few packets of rice and pasta seems a lot more normal to me than obsessing over which f1.2 or f1.4 is the lens you must have otherwise you lose all credibility in a thread on the net.

Think about it :D
